This event continues the development of the AS-11 family of specifications. It provides an update on the specs, the adoption, and the new structure of the files to allow for common architecture of tools.
The event will start with an introduction to the AS-11 specification, why it was created, how it’s used and where it’s going internationally. It will also explore the technical design and implementation.
We’ll then explore how the BBC developed and delivered their UHD HDR Trial of Planet Earth 2. Hear from the team involved and where that work will intersect with AS-11.
You’ll also find out about work that is underway in the U.S. on the AS-11 X8 and X9 specifications, what status it is at, and what’s happening next.
And finally, there will be an opportunity to speak with Broadcasters and R&D specialists, to share programme files and test materials, and to ask questions about the next chapter of AS-11.
This event is open to all DPP Manufacturer, Supplier & Post Members.
