About The DPP

The DPP is a young, energetic company based in London, but operating internationally.

We have risen rapidly to become the media industry’s most respected international community, because of the quality of our insight and the engagements we facilitate between the world’s leading content companies and their suppliers.

We are a team that cares passionately about our values of openness, diversity, inclusion and sustainability.

We pride ourselves on being a quality brand that delivers excellence in everything we do. We are known for being responsive, solution focused, business aware and relevant. We are obsessed with delivering value to current and prospective customers. Our communications are always clear and easy to consume and understand.

The kind of person we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who is self-starting and tenacious, and who gets excited by the opportunity to build a brand and delight customers.

We succeed through the relationships we build with people. So we see offline and online marketing as equally important.

This is a key role in a small but high profile and fast-growing organisation. It would suit someone with experience creating and executing a marketing strategy; who is entrepreneurial by nature; enjoys building relationships and having a public profile; and is excited by the opportunity to work closely with the leaders of a young, ambitious company.

Skills and experience

To be successful you’re going to need:

  • Strong marketing and communication skills, with at least five years working in a marketing role

  • Experience developing and executing a marketing strategy that delivers against business objectives

  • Confidence with using a wide range of online tools

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assimilate a large volume of data to identify trends and messages that matter

  • The interpersonal skills that make you an effective member of our team, and able to build productive relationships with our customers

  • An ability to solve problems

  • A broad understanding of how media gets created and distributed, and knowledge of some of the best-known companies

  • Good writing skills

  • An ability to work to deadlines

Salary and benefits

The salary is in the range of £70k and £80k, depending on experience. We also have a bonus scheme for all our staff.

Holiday is five weeks, in addition to public holidays.

We offer flexible working, and flexible hours, by agreement.

After 12 months of service, we offer up to 52 weeks of maternity and adoption leave - and also shared parental leave - with 16 weeks at full pay. We also offer two weeks of paternity leave at full pay after the first year of service.

As an international organisation there are many opportunities to travel, particularly in North America and Europe. We would expect our Head of Marketing to travel abroad at least twice a year.

Although we have office space in central London, our team lives all over the country - and even outside the UK - so we are all equipped to work remotely.

But it’s also important to be together. So everyone except our member of staff located abroad comes into the London office for at least two days a week.

We are very transparent - so as a member of the DPP team you will get to see how the business is performing on a weekly basis.

We are constantly discussing, as a team, how we can do better. That means we encourage opinions from everyone in the team about everything we do.

We are very productive - we generate a lot of outputs and activity - so people who are very output focused enjoy working for us.

To apply, please send your cv, together with a short statement (between 100 and 250 words) on why you are attracted to this role, to kelvin@thedpp.com
