All aboard for IMF at IBC

By Gill Reston, DPP Programme Delivery Manager, 5th July 2019.

At IBC this year we’ll be continuing the DPP’s mission to deliver business insights and real world implementations of IMF for Broadcast & Online via our exclusive member events: the IMF breakfast briefing, an IMF tour, and an IMF product flyer.

The programme of events kick off bright and early on the morning of Friday 13th September (what could possibly go wrong?), when DPP members can join us for a lively discussion on the broadcast industry’s journey to IMF.  Enabled by Ownzones, Eluvio and AWS, the DPP IMF Breakfast Briefing will feature guest speakers regaling us with their real world implementation stories, information on strategies for managing the transition within businesses, and intelligence about the commercial opportunities that IMF can enable.

A word of warning: this event is popular. Last year’s breakfast was standing room only, so, if you are a DPP member, please sign up for a space as soon as you can!

As we move into the weekend, the DPP team will hit the RAI floor equipped with headsets, a VERY BIG sign and a dedicated band of followers. Our curated IMF tour returns for a second year, leading attendees on a whistle-stop tour of products to see how IMF for Broadcast & Online can be incorporated into workflows using products already on the market today. The tour will present implementations from the full IMF lifecycle – from ingest to mastering, transformation to QC and archive.

If you’re a DPP member and would like to participate in the tour by offering a demonstration on your stand, please complete this form

For DPP members who would like to attend the tour, please register your interest here. We could even organise a exclusive tour for for your organisation.

If you’d rather explore the show’s IMF delights under your own steam, we’ll provide a beautiful glossy flyer that’ll help you find DPP members with relevant products, to see their work in action. We’ll provide a list of available IMF tools that could make your workflow transition plans a reality, and we’ll even throw in the stand numbers to help you get there.

IBC is exciting and exhausting in equal measure, and so we aim to make sure you get the most out of your trip, and have some fun along the way. See you there!

Please contact Gill Reston if you would like to participate in our IMF work or learn about the benefits of DPP membership.
