This demonstration will show R&S Pixel Power products being used in a playout or master control environment to carry out two main functions, i) controlling schedule driven live playout of linear TV channels and ii) the automated production of content for VOD platforms based on the same schedules.

R&S Pixel Power uses two of its own key technologies to do this, StreamMaster, a media processing engine and Gallium, the workflow orchestration technology.

You can see that StreamMaster DELIVER is a software-defined integrated playout engine for 24/7 linear/OTT TV using dedicated COTS servers, or virtualized in a data centre or public cloud.

StreamMaster DELIVER offers real-time master control of live feeds, real-time graphics and DVE over SDI and/or IP streams. Software licences are portable, pricing models are flexible.

Gallium PLAYOUT multi-channel automation is an integrated, sophisticated, scalable scheduling, asset management and automation system that provides the intelligence for complete channel playout, channel-in-a-box or enterprise-standard automated transmission. Gallium PLAYOUT delivers multi-format content across multiple channels while reducing workload, enhancing delivery and maintaining consistency with a single operator.
