Media Tech CEOs are being encouraged to take part in the DPP Media Tech CEO Survey 2026, the second edition of the industry-leading initiative, and help shape the future of the industry.
Almost 50 CEOs — including the equivalent media business unit leaders at global tech companies — have already submitted a response to the Media Tech CEO Survey.
With the August deadline approaching to respond to the DPP Media Tech CEO Survey 2026, Grass Valley CEO Jon Wilson called on his peers to participate in the programme.
"Our industry is navigating a period of rapid technological and business change," he said. "Sharing perspectives across the media technology community helps us better understand the priorities of our customers, identify common challenges, and learn from one another. Initiatives like the DPP Media Tech CEO Survey provide valuable insight that benefits the industry as a whole."
By participating, leaders of media technology companies will be able to benchmark their own strategies, investments and challenges against their peers, as well as highlighting the biggest industry trends. Addressing a group of 19 CEOs who joined an online meeting to discuss some of the preliminary findings, Wilson said this would provide a benefit to the whole media industry.
"In some cases we're competing with each other, but we are partners and in 'co-opetition' as well," Wilson said. "But we all have a responsibility to help our customers in this industry drive forward, and initiatives like the DPP Media Tech CEO Survey are really important for us as an industry.
"Thank you to everybody who has contributed so far for making that commitment; because there is a lot that we can learn from each other."
The research will be released in November 2026, with the findings presented on stage at the DPP Leaders’ Briefing 2026 in London where it will be discussed with participating CEOs.
At the end of 2025, then Dalet CEO Santiago Solanas described the work as "an essential guide for CEOs". He said:
"The inaugural DPP Media Tech CEO Survey sets a new benchmark for understanding the forces shaping our industry, highlighting the importance of deeper partnerships, the transformative potential of AI, and the urgency of delivering value with agility. It is an essential guide for CEOs navigating the complexities of today's media and entertainment landscape, offering actionable insights to drive innovation and collaboration."
