Leaders' Briefing 2022

The DPP's 7th annual Leaders' Briefing is a conference and networking event bringing together the supplier and content provider community. It will take place in person at etc.venues, 155 Bishopsgate, London.

Senior executives from over 30 major media organisations will share exclusive intelligence about their priorities. No other industry event provides so much focused insight in one place, all tailored to suppliers and content providers.

Aditi Pandey, Head of Vendor Management and Partnerships, Technology at NRK said that directly interacting with customers at live events such as sports games, presentations, and concerts is an exciting prospect.

Adde Granberg, CTO at SVT stated 'we are a really small player in a big IT industry.' He's focused on improving quality for the end user, and believes that doing this will transform broadcasting standards.

Carrie Wooten, Managing Director of Rise, the global advocacy membership organisation supporting gender diversity in the media technology sector, said that there is so much more the media industry needs to be doing when it comes to sustainability. And that young people may have more answers than we think.

Cristina Gomila, MD Content Technology and Innovation at Sky chose to direct her attention to the customer - she's working hard to become an aggregator for them, embracing streaming more than ever, and making better content.

Gordon Castle, SVP, Technology and Operations at Discovery thinks that the word 'transformation' is overused as it often refers to a singular aspect of transformation only. Instead the word should reflect what businesses see as success and employees' involvement in helping deliver that success.

Companies that put their people first to achieve transformation inspired Matt Bowers, Head of Professional Solutions Team at Sony. He's also excited to see full production workflows in the cloud, and how AI / machine learning can help accelerate that process.

Giovanni Piccirilli, CTO at RTL Nederland noted that companies can collect enriched data from their customers by breaking silos whereas Kim Koppenol, Manager Corporate Communication & Brand Strategy at RTL Nederland prioritised Diversity and Inclusion.
